Hunt For Jules October

Apologies yet again for being lax as far as updating this thing is concerned, but expect some aural nuggets for your delectation over the weekend. In the meantime, check out this mix from our guest at next month's Mutant Pop. October (aka Julian Smith) dabbled with a few breakbeat tracks and remixes in his early twenties before progressing to broken beat and techno production. Check out his profile here. As you can see from the tracklisting, there's some quality shizzle on there (personal favourites including the Glimmers mix of Isolee, Johannes Heil and Shane Berry) amongst a few of Mr October's finest dubplates. Over the course of the next few weeks we'll be hosting a few more October exclusives, so keep checking back to sample more of his original production work. 'Laser Finger' is available to purchase now at all good record stores (Phonica is sold out at the moment, but you can still get it from Juno).

Should be good. I missed his set last time he played with us at Vagisness because I popped down to see five minutes of Umek and got carried away!!
